For the BBQ sauce, combine ketchup, balsamic vinegar, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a pot. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside.

Clean the pointed cabbage and cut it into fine strips. In a bowl, knead vigorously with 1 tsp salt until it softens. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then squeeze out excess water.

Grate the carrot, finely dice the red onion. Mix with the cabbage. For the dressing, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper, then fold into the vegetables.
