Preparation & Onions
Remove the meat from the refrigerator before grilling and bring to room temperature. Peel the onions and cut them into half-rings. Sauté in sunflower oil until translucent. Then add the BBQ sauce and let caramelize over low heat.
Mix the mayonnaise with the smoked paprika powder and let it steep in the refrigerator.
Grilling & Assembling
Brush the meat with oil, season with pepper (and salt if desired) and grill on the hot grill for approx. 4 minutes per side, so that it remains slightly pink inside. At the same time, fry the bacon until crispy and toast the halved buns on the grill. Once the meat is done, sprinkle with Parmesan and let rest for one minute.
