Ingredients
- 100 g Mayonnaise
- 50 g Tomato Ketchup
- 600 g Ground Beef
- 5 ml Sesame Oil
- 45 ml Rice Vinegar
- 10 g Curry Powder
- 15 ml Soy Sauce
- 20 ml Chili Sauce
- 8 g Salt
- 20 g Peanut Butter
- 100 g Carrots
- 100 g Cucumber
- 50 g Red Onions
- 4 g Sugar
- 320 g Baguette
- 30 g Butter
- 40 g Fresh Cilantro
Preparation
- 1Place the ground beef in a bowl. Add sesame oil, 15 ml rice vinegar, curry powder, soy sauce, chili sauce, and salt. Mix everything thoroughly and let the meat mixture marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 2In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, and peanut butter into a smooth dressing.
- 3Cut carrots and cucumber into fine strips (julienne). Slice the red onion into very thin rings. In a bowl, mix the remaining rice vinegar (30 ml) with the sugar and briefly marinate the vegetables in it.
- 4Form 4 equally sized burger patties from the meat mixture. Fry them in a pan or on the grill for approx. 3–4 minutes per side (depending on desired doneness). While frying, brush the patties with a little butter for more flavor.
- 5Slice the baguette lengthwise, spread with the remaining butter, and briefly toast until crispy on the cut side.
- 6Generously spread the bottom half of the baguette with the peanut dressing. Place the meat patty on top, add the marinated vegetables, and sprinkle with plenty of fresh cilantro. Place the top half of the baguette on top and serve immediately.
