Ingredients
- 750 g chicken breast fillet
- 150 g natural yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 20 g fresh ginger, grated
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 30 g butter
- 400 g chopped tomatoes
- 250 ml whipping cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- Basmati rice
- Naan bread
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Preparation
- 1Cut chicken breast into approx. 5 cm cubes. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, Garam Masala, turmeric, chili, cumin, grated ginger, and pressed garlic. Add the meat and marinate for at least 3 hours (preferably overnight).
- 2In a large pan, melt the butter over high heat. Remove the meat from the marinade (do not wipe off the marinade) and place it in the pan.
- 3Fry the chicken for approx. 3 minutes until cooked through.
- 4Once the meat is cooked, add chopped tomatoes, cream, sugar, and salt. Stir, reduce the heat, and simmer everything together for approx. 20 minutes.
- 5After 20 minutes, taste the sauce and add more salt if needed. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
- 6Serve with basmati rice or Indian naan bread.
