Ingredients
- 500 g Tomatoes
- 500 g Watermelon (flesh)
- 1 Handful fresh basil
- 2 tbsp White wine vinegar
- 70 ml Sunflower oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar krupice
- 3 tsp freshly grated ginger
Preparation
- 1Wash and dry the tomatoes, remove the hard stem ends, and cut into cubes of approx. 3x2 cm. Cut the chilled watermelon into cubes of the same size as the tomatoes. Cut the basil into fine strips.
- 2In a large bowl, whisk together vinegar, oil, salt, sugar, and grated ginger with a whisk until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 3Add the tomato and melon cubes to the bowl and carefully mix with the dressing. Sprinkle with basil strips and serve immediately.
Tip
The salad tastes best when the watermelon comes directly from the refrigerator. This makes it particularly refreshing on hot summer days.
