Ingredients for the Tacos
- 4 small corn tortillas
- 300 g ground beef
- 4 slices cheddar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
- 1 small romaine lettuce for garnish
For the Dip
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp natural yogurt
- 1 tsp medium-hot mustard
- 1 tsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp finely diced yellow onion
- 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 tbsp finely diced pickled gherkins
- 1/3 tsp smoked paprika powder
- 1 clove garlic
Preparation of the Tacos
- 1Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions. Press each portion evenly and thinly directly onto a tortilla, so that the meat covers the entire surface.
- 2Heat a pan strongly and add the vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, place the tortilla meat-side down into the pan. Fry over medium heat for a few minutes until the meat is fully cooked through and nicely browned.
- 3Carefully flip the tortilla with a spatula. Reduce the heat and immediately place a slice of cheddar on the meat. Continue frying until the cheese is melted and the underside of the tortilla is golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
Sauce & Serving
- 1While the tacos are frying, prepare the dip: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, yogurt, mustard, ketchup, diced onion, Sriracha, diced pickles, paprika powder, and pressed garlic into a smooth sauce.
- 2Generously spread the finished tacos with the dip and garnish with finely chopped romaine lettuce. Serve immediately and enjoy!
