Preparation method

Stir cream cheese and low-fat quark until smooth in a small bowl. Finely chop the green parts of the spring onions and fold them into the cheese mixture. Season with salt and pepper.

Finely chop chives. Finely chop the walnuts with a knife or in a blender. Mix both on a deep plate.

Form a ball from the cheese mixture with your hands and roll it evenly in the chive-walnut mixture. Let it chill in the refrigerator for approx. 30–60 minutes before serving.

Chef's tip

Instead of spring onions, you can also use fresh parsley.
