Ingredients
- 250 ml whole milk
- 30 ml espresso (freshly prepared from coffee beans)
- 2 tbsp caramel syrup (plus a little more for garnishing)
- 1 serving whipped cream (optional for garnishing)
Preparation
- 1Prepare a fresh espresso – ideally with an espresso machine or a Moka pot for an intense aroma.
- 2Heat the whole milk in a small saucepan over medium heat or in the microwave. Make sure the milk does not boil.
- 3Froth the warm milk with a milk frother until a fine-pored, creamy foam is created.
- 4Pour the caramel syrup into a tall glass or a large cup and carefully pour the freshly brewed espresso over it. Stir briefly.
- 5Now slowly pour the frothed milk into the glass. You can use a spoon to help keep the milk foam on top and create a beautiful layering.
- 6Garnish your Caramel Latte as desired with a dollop of whipped cream and drizzle some more caramel syrup over it as a finish. Enjoy your drink immediately!
Tip
For a vegan version, you can simply replace the whole milk with an oat or almond drink. These also froth up wonderfully!
