Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes of approx. 2 cm. Bring to a boil in a pot with enough salted water and cook until soft over medium heat for approx. 15–18 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut the breakfast bacon into small pieces and fry until crispy in a pan without additional fat for approx. 3–4 minutes. Set aside.

In a small pot, melt the butter in the milk over low heat. Peel and finely press the garlic.

Chef's tip

For a particularly fine touch, you can mix some grated mountain cheese into the mashed potatoes.
