Ingredients overview
- 2 pc Avocado
- 1/2 pc Lime
- 1 clove Garlic cloves
- 1/2 pc Jalapeño
- 1 pc Shallots
- 1 pc Tomatoes
- 1 pinch Ground black pepper
- 1 pinch Salt
Cut the avocados all around to the pit. Twist the halves against each other and separate them. Remove the pit, scoop the flesh out of the skin with a spoon and place it in a bowl.
Squeeze the lime and immediately add the juice to the avocado (this prevents browning). Peel and finely chop or press the garlic clove. Add it to the avocado as well and mash everything with a fork into a coarse cream.
Halve the jalapeño, remove the seeds, and finely dice the pod. Finely dice the shallot as well. Deseed the tomato and cut the flesh into small cubes. Fold the jalapeño, shallot, and tomato into the avocado cream. Season with salt and pepper.
Chef's tip
For an extra creamy texture, you can finely mash part of the avocado and leave the rest in small cubes.
If you prepare the guacamole in advance, place the avocado pit in the center of the bowl and cover it airtight with cling film – this will keep it fresh and green longer.
