Preparation method

Dry roast the sesame seeds in a hot wok without fat until lightly browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.

Heat the vegetable oil in the wok and briefly sauté the garlic and ginger. Add the green beans and stir-fry until almost cooked. Then add the mung bean sprouts and red bell pepper and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.

Sprinkle the vegetables with the roasted sesame seeds.

Chef's tip

Serve the vegetables over a bed of steamed jasmine rice or with Asian egg noodles.

If the beans become too dry while frying, add one to two tablespoons of water to make them more tender.
