  • 200 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 50 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 110 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp blue poppy seeds
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Combine all ingredients on a work surface and thoroughly knead with your hands to form an elastic dough.

Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 2 mm thick. Use only enough flour so that the dough does not stick. Cut out various shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven for 18 - 20 minutes until golden brown.

Chef's tip

The crackers taste excellent with hummus or creamy herb quark.
