Preparation method
First, prepare a small baking sheet that fits into your freezer and line it with parchment paper.
Start preparing the dough: Drain the chickpeas and rinse them under cold water. Put the rinsed chickpeas into a blender, add almond flour, rolled oats, honey, and the soft butter (or coconut oil), and blend until smooth. Mix 3–4 tablespoons of water into the mixture so that the ingredients combine well and the dough becomes smooth.
Form balls of approx. 30–35 g from the finished dough (this should yield about 12 balls) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Once all the dough has been processed, place the sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours to allow the balls to firm up.
Chef's tip
For a vegan version, you can replace the honey with maple syrup and the butter with coconut oil.
