- 200 g Dates
- 100 g Cashews
- 1 tbsp Baking cocoa
- 1 piece Baking paper
- 1 piece Cling film
Cover the dates with water and let them soak overnight. The next day, drain the water, cut the dates into pieces, and blend finely. Add cashews and cocoa and blend again briefly until a malleable mass forms.
Press the mixture firmly into a bar mold. If no mold is available, a loaf pan can be used: line it with baking paper, add the mixture, and press down firmly with your hands so that no gaps are created.
Let the mold set in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Then cut into 6 equally sized bars. Wrap the bars in baking paper or cling film to prevent them from drying out.
Chef's tip
For an extra fine touch, you can add a pinch of sea salt or a little vanilla pulp to the mixture. The bars will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
