- 8 pcs Jalapeño chilies
- 3 tbsp Processed cream cheese
- 70 g Gouda block
- 2 tbsp Fresh chives
- 200 g Breakfast bacon slices
- 1 pinch Ground black pepper
Halve the jalapeños lengthwise, carefully remove the seeds, and wash the pods. Finely grate the Gouda and mix it with the processed cheese and finely chopped chives. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
Generously fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture. Fold the halves back together and tightly wrap them with a slice of breakfast bacon.
Place the prepared jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
Chef's tip
It's best to wear gloves when deseeding the jalapeños to avoid skin irritation from the spiciness.
For an extra smoky note, you can also use smoked Gouda.
