Preparation & Kneading the Dough

Preheat the oven to 175 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking dish (approx. 30 cm x 25 cm) with baking paper.

In a large bowl, combine the wheat flour with 150 ml lukewarm whole milk, the room-temperature butter, sugar, crumbled fresh yeast, and a pinch of salt. Knead the mixture for about 5–10 minutes until a smooth, elastic dough forms (on medium speed if using a stand mixer).

Filling & Rolling

Lightly flour the work surface. Roll out the dough into a rectangle of approx. 30 cm x 40 cm.

Chef's tip

For a special shine, the swirls can be drizzled with a little liquid honey before serving.
