Preparation method
First, place the eggs in a small pot, cover with enough water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and hard-boil the eggs for 8–10 minutes. Afterwards, rinse under cold water, peel, and coarsely grate.
Meanwhile, peel the celeriac and finely grate it. Wash the apple and coarsely grate it with the skin on. Immediately pour the lemon juice over the grated apple and celeriac to prevent them from browning.
In a medium bowl, combine the grated celeriac, apple, and egg with the cream cheese and Dijon mustard. Mix everything well and season with salt and pepper.
Chef's tip
For an extra fine touch, you can sprinkle the spread with freshly chopped chives before serving. It also makes an excellent dip for vegetable sticks.
