Ingredients
- 1 baguette (225 g)
- 150 g cheddar cheese block
- 100 g pancetta
- 2 eggs size M
- 1 handful fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Slice the baguette into thin pieces.
- 2Cut the pancetta into small cubes and fry until crispy in a pan without additional fat. Finely grate the cheddar.
- 3In a bowl, mix the grated cheddar with the beaten eggs, mustard, and half of the crispy pancetta. Finely chop the parsley and stir it into the cheese mixture along with the pepper.
- 4Spread the cheese mixture evenly onto the baguette slices and sprinkle with the remaining pancetta.
- 5Bake the bites in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm.

Servieren Sie diese Häppchen am besten noch warm direkt aus dem Ofen. Für eine vegetarische Variante können Sie die Pancetta durch geräucherten Tofu oder getrocknete Tomaten ersetzen. Ein Glas kühler Weißwein passt hervorragend dazu!
