Ingredients
- 600 g fresh puff pastry
- 200 g Prosciutto crudo
- 100 g sliced Emmentaler
- 100 g Pesto Rosso
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
Instructions
- 1Divide the puff pastry into two equal parts and roll them out. Cut each part into squares (a total of 28 squares per 300 g of dough, graded from large to small) to be able to layer the Christmas trees.
- 2Place a piece of prosciutto, some Emmentaler, and a dollop of Pesto Rosso on each square (except the smallest one for the top). Stack the squares according to size, placing every second square slightly offset (diagonally) to create the shape of a Christmas tree. Secure with a wooden skewer.
- 3Brush the Christmas trees with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 25–30 minutes until golden brown. After cooling, carefully remove the wooden skewers and garnish with fresh thyme.

Ein kleiner Tipp: Für eine vegetarische Variante können Sie den Prosciutto einfach durch getrocknete Tomaten oder Oliven ersetzen. Die Tannenbäume schmecken sowohl warm als auch kalt hervorragend!
