Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Grease a baking dish (approx. 25 cm diameter) with butter and lightly sprinkle with sugar.

Wash the physalis, pat dry, and distribute evenly on the bottom of the dish.

Prepare the Batter

In a bowl, beat the sugar, the 2 whole eggs, and the 2 egg yolks until the mixture is pale yellow and creamy.

Chef's tip

Before serving, dust the finished clafoutis with a little powdered sugar for a particularly appealing look.
