Pile the flour onto a work surface and form a well in the center. Add salt, crumbled fresh yeast, and lukewarm water into the well.

Knead all ingredients thoroughly until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place.

Form flat discs from the dough and bake them in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 10-15 minutes until they are fluffy.

Chef's tip

For a particularly authentic texture, you can also steam the buns in a bamboo steamer over boiling water instead of baking them.
