Preparation method
Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into approximately 2 cm cubes. Boil them in a pot of salted water for about 10-12 minutes until tender but still firm to the bite. Then drain.
Meanwhile, thoroughly wash the chard. Cut the tough stems into small pieces and roughly tear the leaves. Peel and finely chop or thinly slice the garlic.
Heat the olive oil in a large pan. Sauté the garlic over medium heat for about 1 minute until translucent, without browning. First, add the chard stems and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Chef's tip
Blitva tastes best when served warm. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice just before serving adds extra freshness to the dish.
