- 4 pcs. Hot Dog Sausages
- 4 pcs. Hot Dog Buns
- 2 pcs. Vine Tomatoes
- 1 pc. yellow onion
- 8 pcs. pickled gherkins (for garnish and relish)
- 4 tsp. pickled jalapeño rings
- 4 tsp. medium-hot mustard
Preparation
- 1Prepare a large pot with a steamer insert and steam the hot dog sausages for about 5 minutes until hot. Alternatively, the sausages can also be grilled on all sides until golden brown.
- 2Meanwhile, slice the tomatoes thinly and finely dice the onion. Halve or quarter half of the pickled gherkins lengthwise, and finely chop the other half for the relish.
- 3Briefly warm the hot dog buns (in the oven or on the grill) and slice them lengthwise. Place the hot sausages into the buns.
- 4Garnish the hot dogs with tomato slices and pickled gherkin strips on the sides. Evenly distribute the diced onion, jalapeño rings, and finely chopped gherkins (as a relish substitute) over them.
- 5Finally, drizzle a strip of mustard over the hot dogs and serve immediately. Enjoy your meal!
