Preparation method

Wash the broccoli. Divide the florets into small pieces, peel the stem, and cut it into small cubes.

Bring plenty of salted water to a boil in a large pot. Cook the whole wheat spaghetti according to package directions for about 10 minutes until al dente.

While the pasta is cooking, prepare the pesto: Peel the garlic and put it into a blender along with Parmesan, walnuts, olive oil, baby spinach, basil, lemon juice, the diced broccoli stems, and half of the broccoli florets. Blend everything until smooth and season with salt and pepper.
