Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
Preparation
- 1Place the sugar in a pot or pan. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves into liquid caramel. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
- 2Once the sugar is completely dissolved and has turned an amber color, remove from heat. Add a pinch of baking soda and stir quickly. The mixture will start to foam and lighten in color.
- 3Immediately pour the mixture onto parchment paper or a silicone mat. Gently press down, for example, with a glass or metal plate.
- 4If desired, use a mold to press a shape (star, heart, etc.) into the center, but do not press the shape all the way through.
- 5Let it harden at room temperature for a few minutes.
