New York Style Hot Dog

Preheat the grill to medium heat. Alternatively, a grill pan can be used.

Finely chop the onion. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion until translucent, soft, and lightly golden brown.

Add the sauerkraut and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sauté for a few minutes until the sauerkraut is thoroughly heated through.
