Preparation of the Meat Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the beef and pork mince. Add the finely chopped onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, as well as paprika powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Knead the mixture thoroughly with your hands. If the mixture is too dry, add a splash of water or a little oil.

Form the meat mixture into patties (Pljeskavica) about 2 cm thick. If desired, you can place a slice of Gouda in the middle and enclose it with meat (stuffed Pljeskavica).
