Ingredients

  • 100 g wholemeal flour
  • 200 ml kefir
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • Pulp of a vanilla pod
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Baking release spray as needed
  • Blueberries as desired
  • Raspberries as desired
  • Red currants as desired
  • Natural yogurt for serving
  • Low-fat quark for serving
  • Maple syrup for garnishing

Preparation

    Put all ingredients for the dough into a bowl and whisk until smooth, until a uniform dough is formed.

    Turn on the waffle iron and let it preheat sufficiently. Once it's ready, lightly spray the baking surfaces with baking release spray. Pour in the batter, close the waffle iron, and bake the waffles for about 3 to 3.5 minutes until golden brown. Do not open the waffle iron during baking so that the waffles do not tear or collapse.

    Serve the warm waffles with fresh berries, a dollop of quark or yogurt, and drizzle with maple syrup. Enjoy immediately.
