  • 4 pcs Hot Dog buns
  • 1 pc Yellow onion
  • 240 g Sauerkraut
  • 200 g Pickled gherkins in a jar

  • Mustard to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste

    Preheat the grill to medium heat.

    Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onion until translucent, soft, and lightly golden brown.

    Add the sauerkraut, season with salt and pepper to taste, and sauté for a few minutes until thoroughly heated.

    Grill the Wiener sausages on the grill for about 7 minutes, turning regularly, until hot and lightly browned.

    Meanwhile, briefly toast the hot dog buns on the grill until lightly golden brown.

    Place the grilled sausages in the buns. Add the onion-sauerkraut mixture, mustard, and sliced pickled gherkins to taste.

Tip
For a particularly intense aroma, you can caramelize the onions with a pinch of sugar.
