- 4 pcs Hot Dog buns
- 1 pc Yellow onion
- 240 g Sauerkraut
- 200 g Pickled gherkins in a jar

Preparation
- 1Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- 2Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onion until translucent, soft, and lightly golden brown.
- 3Add the sauerkraut, season with salt and pepper to taste, and sauté for a few minutes until thoroughly heated.
- 4Grill the Wiener sausages on the grill for about 7 minutes, turning regularly, until hot and lightly browned.
- 5Meanwhile, briefly toast the hot dog buns on the grill until lightly golden brown.
- 6Place the grilled sausages in the buns. Add the onion-sauerkraut mixture, mustard, and sliced pickled gherkins to taste.
- 7Serve immediately and enjoy.

For a particularly intense aroma, you can caramelize the onions with a pinch of sugar.
