  • 200 ml orange juice (ideally freshly squeezed) + 1 slice for decoration
  • 1 tbsp honey (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 whole cloves
  • A little lemon juice

Preparation

    Heat the orange juice in a small pot over medium heat. Make sure the liquid does not boil to preserve the delicate flavors.

    Add the honey, ground cinnamon, and whole cloves. Stir well until the honey has completely dissolved.

    Let the punch steep for about 5 minutes over low heat so that the spice aromas can develop. Again, do not let it boil.

    Season the drink with a splash of lemon juice if you prefer a slightly sourer note.

    Remove the cloves (or strain the punch through a sieve) and pour the hot drink into a mug or a heat-resistant glass.

    Garnish the punch with a fresh orange slice and serve immediately.
