Ingredients
- 200 ml orange juice (ideally freshly squeezed) + 1 slice for decoration
- 1 tbsp honey (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 whole cloves
- A little lemon juice
Preparation
- 1Heat the orange juice in a small pot over medium heat. Make sure the liquid does not boil to preserve the delicate flavors.
- 2Add the honey, ground cinnamon, and whole cloves. Stir well until the honey has completely dissolved.
- 3Let the punch steep for about 5 minutes over low heat so that the spice aromas can develop. Again, do not let it boil.
- 4Season the drink with a splash of lemon juice if you prefer a slightly sourer note.
- 5Remove the cloves (or strain the punch through a sieve) and pour the hot drink into a mug or a heat-resistant glass.
- 6Garnish the punch with a fresh orange slice and serve immediately.
