Ingredients

  • 600g shrimp
  • 3 leaves Romaine lettuce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 dash cognac
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • Lemon juice
  • Tabasco
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 lemon
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation

    For the sauce, mix mayonnaise with ketchup, Dijon mustard, Tabasco, and cognac, then season with salt, pepper, and a little lemon juice.

    Next, wash the lettuce leaves and mix them with finely chopped spring onions, then divide among thick-walled wine glasses.

    Then, spoon a generous amount of sauce over the lettuce, along with the shrimp thawed in the refrigerator.

    Cover the shrimp completely with another large spoon of sauce and chill for 1 to 2 hours.

    Before serving, dust with a little paprika powder through a sieve. Serve with an eighth of a lemon and freshly toasted black bread.
Tip
Do not rinse the shrimp, otherwise they will lose their flavor.
