Cook the whole wheat pasta in plenty of salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Cooking time may vary depending on the type (approx. 12–20 minutes).

Meanwhile, finely dice the onion, press or finely chop the garlic, and thoroughly wash the spinach leaves. If necessary, roughly chop large spinach leaves.

Sear Salmon & Prepare Sauce

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Heat a large pan and sear the salmon fillets skin-side down for about 2 minutes. Carefully flip and cook on the flesh side for another 1.5 minutes. Remove the fillets from the pan and place them in a baking dish (approx. 20 x 30 cm).
