Frisch gebackenes Brot in weniger als einer Stunde? Das Irische Sodabrot macht es möglich! Ohne Hefe und ohne langes Gehenlassen zauberst du einen rustikalen Laib mit herrlich knuspriger Kruste und weichem Kern. Der Clou: Natron und ein Schuss Essig sorgen für die perfekte Lockerheit. Ideal für spontane Brot-Liebhaber und gemütliche Frühstücke.

Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 230 °C (top/bottom heat) and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix them quickly and work the dough only lightly until the ingredients are just combined. The dough should still be slightly lumpy – be careful not to knead it for too long so that the bread remains nice and fluffy.
Turn the dough out onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a round, flat loaf with a diameter of about 15 cm and a height of approx. 6 cm. Cut a deep cross into the top of the bread with a sharp knife.
Chef's tip
Serve the soda bread best still slightly warm with salted butter or homemade jam. It tastes best fresh!
