Ingredients
- 270 g wholemeal spelt flour (250 g for the dough + 20 g for dusting)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 200 g natural yogurt (3.5 % fat)
Preparation
- 1First, mix the wholemeal spelt flour, baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Add the natural yogurt and knead everything into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 5 equal pieces and form them into balls.
- 2Dust your work surface with approx. 20 g of spelt flour. Place the dough balls on it and roll them out with a rolling pin into flatbreads about 0.5 cm thick.
- 3Heat a large coated pan over medium heat. Bake the flatbreads one after another for 2–3 minutes per side until they puff up slightly and are golden brown.
- 4Place the finished flatbreads on a plate and cover them with a clean kitchen towel to keep them soft. Serve warm.
Tip
- 1These flatbreads pair perfectly with a beetroot dip. For a spicy note, you can also mix 1 teaspoon of dried herbs or spices directly into the dough.
