Preheat the oven to 200°C. Lightly grease a baking dish.

In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, mustard, and minced garlic to form a marinade.

Place the salmon fillets in the baking dish and generously brush with the marinade. Reserve some marinade for later.
