  • 100 g Red Lentils
  • 20 g Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Organic Flaxseed Oil
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • Juice of ¼ Lemon
  • 2 cm Fresh Ginger
  • ½ tsp Mild Curry Powder
  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Salt

Rinse the red lentils thoroughly and cook them in lightly salted water for about 10 minutes until soft. Then drain the water and let the lentils cool completely.

Add the sunflower seeds, flaxseed oil, lemon juice, pressed garlic clove, and peeled and finely grated ginger to the lentils. Add curry powder, smoked paprika, and freshly ground pepper. Puree everything with an immersion blender until creamy.

Finely dice the red onion and fold it into the finished spread. Garnish with toasted sunflower seeds and serve with fresh vegetables or bread.

Chef's tip

For an even more intense aroma, you can briefly toast the sunflower seeds in a dry pan before use.
