Prepare two bowls: one with 1 liter of hot water and one with 1 liter of cold water. Score the tamarillos crosswise and place them in the hot water for one minute. Then blanch them in cold water for one minute. After this, the skin can be easily peeled off. Cut the peeled tamarillos into small pieces.

Peel the apple and grate it coarsely.

Cut the onion into coarse pieces, the garlic into fine slices. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pot and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.

Chef's tip

The chutney tastes excellent with grilled meat, game, or as a special extra on a cheese board with strong mountain cheese.
