  • 20 g fresh mint
  • 100 g white sugar
  • 216 ml lemon juice
  • 750 ml sparkling mineral water

Pluck the mint leaves and place them in a small pot. Add the sugar and 150 ml of water. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved. Then let the mint syrup cool down.

Pour the cooled syrup into a large pitcher and mix with the lemon juice. Add a large handful of ice cubes and top up with sparkling mineral water.

Taste the lemonade and add more lemon juice as desired. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and lemon slices in the pitcher and serve immediately ice-cold.

Chef's tip

For an even more intense aroma, you can lightly crush the mint leaves in the syrup before straining it.

For a decorative touch, use ice cubes into which you have placed small mint leaves or berries before freezing.
