Preparation method
Peel, core, and cut the apples into small pieces, then finely puree them with an immersion blender. Alternatively, you can use 200 g of unsweetened apple sauce directly.
In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats with the coarsely chopped pecans, flaxseeds, chicory syrup, and about one tablespoon of cinnamon. Add the apple puree and mix everything well until the dry ingredients are evenly moistened.
Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 25–30 minutes. Stir occasionally so that the granola browns evenly and the clumps do not become too large.
Chef's tip
Serve the granola with natural yogurt, kefir, or fresh quark and garnish with fresh apple slices as desired.
