Preparation method
If using fresh apples: Peel, core, cut into pieces, and finely puree with an immersion blender. Alternatively, you can directly use 200 g unsweetened apple puree or applesauce.
In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats with the coarsely chopped pecans, flaxseeds, chicory syrup, and about one tablespoon of cinnamon. Add the apple puree and mix everything well until a uniform mixture is formed.
Preheat the oven to 175 °C (top/bottom heat). Spread the granola mixture in a thin layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chef's tip
Serve the granola best with natural yogurt, quark, or a plant-based milk alternative and fresh apple slices.
