Preparation method

Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces. Pour about 200 ml of boiling water over it and let it steep for 10 minutes. Then strain the water, stir in the sugar, and let it cool completely.

Slice the cucumber thinly and cut the pear from the compote into small cubes.

Fill two large glasses (approx. 400 ml) with plenty of ice cubes. Distribute the cucumber slices, pear cubes, compote juice, and basil leaves evenly among the glasses.
Chef's tip
For a particularly intense flavor, you can lightly clap the basil leaves between your palms before adding them to release their essential oils.
