  • 160 ml Tequila Blanco
  • 60 ml Orange Liqueur (e.g., Cointreau)
  • 600 g Watermelon (flesh)
  • 100 ml Lime Juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 Handful Ice Cubes
  • 1 Pinch Salt (for the glass rim)

Cut the watermelon into pieces and place it in a blender along with the lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and a handful of ice cubes. Blend everything until a smooth, velvety consistency is achieved.

Moisten the rim of the glasses with a little water or a lime wedge, then dip them in salt to create a decorative salt rim.

Add ice cubes to the prepared glasses, carefully pour in the margarita mixture, and garnish with a lime slice or a small piece of watermelon as desired. Enjoy immediately, ice cold!

Chef's tip

For an alcohol-free version, you can simply replace tequila and liqueur with mineral water or non-alcoholic alternatives.
