Ingredients

  • 240 ml cloudy apple juice
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole star anise
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp liquid honey (to taste)
  • 1 apple slice for decoration

Preparation

    Pour the cloudy apple juice into a small pot and heat it over medium heat.

    Add the cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves.

    Let the drink steep for about 5–7 minutes so that the flavors of the spices can fully develop. Make sure the juice gets hot but does not boil.

    Stir in a teaspoon of honey to taste, if you prefer it a little sweeter.

    Pour the hot apple juice through a sieve into a heatproof glass or mug to remove the spices.

    Garnish the drink with a fresh apple slice and serve immediately.
Tip
For a particularly fruity note, you can also add a splash of fresh lemon juice.
