Ingredients
- 240 ml cloudy apple juice
- 1 whole cinnamon stick
- 1 whole star anise
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 tsp liquid honey (to taste)
- 1 apple slice for decoration
Preparation
- 1Pour the cloudy apple juice into a small pot and heat it over medium heat.
- 2Add the cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves.
- 3Let the drink steep for about 5–7 minutes so that the flavors of the spices can fully develop. Make sure the juice gets hot but does not boil.
- 4Stir in a teaspoon of honey to taste, if you prefer it a little sweeter.
- 5Pour the hot apple juice through a sieve into a heatproof glass or mug to remove the spices.
- 6Garnish the drink with a fresh apple slice and serve immediately.
Tip
For a particularly fruity note, you can also add a splash of fresh lemon juice.
