Strawberry Liqueur

  Put the water and sugar into a pot and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved, then let it cool. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and halve them.

  Puree the strawberries and stir in the lemon juice.

  Add the sugar water to the pureed strawberries and mix. Finally, add the vodka and stir again. Using a funnel, pour the strawberry liqueur into clean bottles. It's best to rinse the bottles with boiling water beforehand. Chill the liqueur until serving.
