Toast the baguette slices in a pan or oven without fat until golden brown and crispy.

Mix the olive oil with the pressed garlic. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the finely chopped basil.

Generously brush the toasted baguette slices with the prepared herb-garlic oil.

Chef's tip

For an even more intense aroma, you can rub the baguette slices with a halved garlic clove before brushing.
